 McConnell Irish Dance

Celebrating 72 Years In Canada

McConnell School of Dance was established in Winnipeg, Canada in 1947 by the late Sam & Sarah McConnell.

McConnell Irish Dance is Manitoba's largest Irish dance school with classes for Recreational, Competitive, and Performance Irish dance.  The family owned and operated school has taught thousands of students through three generations of Irish Dance excellence and tradition.

McConnell School of Dance is a member of Cumann Rince Náisiúnta (CRN), based in Dublin, Ireland and their World class level dancers compete across North America and at the CRN World Open Irish Dance Championships in Ireland.  McConnell Irish dancers host both of Manitoba's only Irish Dance Competitions, Canada Feile and the Canadian Open Championship, a three adjudicator championship and CRN Nationals Qualifier.

McConnell Irish Dancers perform at shows and festivals all over the world and perform locally at over 50 shows each year.  McConnell Irish Dance was a founding member of Folklorama and our dances have performed at the Irish Pavilion and sponsored the Isle of the Shamrock and the United Kingdom Pavilions.
