Both my son and daughter have participated in the classes at McConnell. My daughter has been dancing for 15 years and has made several close friendships. Dancing has given her opportunities to compete, perform and travel over the years. With the professional, fun and gentle teaching she has gained personal confidence, creativity, strength and endurance! McConnell dance school has been a second family celebrating birthdays and milestones. Education is important to the group, they offer scholarships and opportunities to mentor younger students. I am very pleased with our experience with this dance school and so glad we found it when she was 4 watching at a show at folklorama!!

I have been dancing with McConnell for about 6 years now. As an adult (over 35 but not saying by how much) I've really appreciated the support and encouragement of adult dancers. The instructors also understand the additional challenges of being adult student. Not just the physical challenges but also things like adult life getting in the way of practicing as much as you'd like! Dance is the only kind of physical exercise I've ever liked enough to stick with consistently. I'm so glad I found the McConnell school.

Family friendly atmosphere, world class Irish dance program. From preschool to adult, recreational, performance or competitive based, McConnell School of Dance is all inclusive, professional and most importantly a safe, nurturing environment for every type of Irish dance enthusiast. Very proud to call this school our dance family for the last 7 years. All four of our children have been students since they were toddlers. I can't say enough good things about McConnell Irish Dance. Such a caring environment where all students are given attention and encouragement. The teachers are wonderful. They have been very flexible in adapting to the changing restrictions and they continue to deliver excellent, safe, weekly instruction (currently in person and over Zoom). Would highly recommend considering this school for both recreational and competitive Irish Dance classes

McConnell School of Dance is that place where you know your kids are learning, growing, and developing as members of a community much larger than just a dance class. Everyone is treated as an individual with kindness and respect. Whether it's a once a week class for fun or training 6 days a week , there is a place for everyone! Fun, engaging, travel, and friendship - preschool to adults - all are welcome!

Amazing teachers and technique, great friendships and opportunities to compete and perform. My daughter has been dancing here for 11 years and the school always adapts to the needs of the students including throughout COVID when everything (competitions included) moved online. The coordination, athleticism, discipline and mental energy to learn and retain all of this has been transferable to the skills needed for life ❤️ In gratitude for all you do and for keeping positive and focussed during a very difficult time!!

I have appreciated being a student at McConnell Irish Dance. Instructor feedback is gentle and thorough and one can see the great care that goes into teaching and running this organization. They have navigated covid safely and gracefully. There is prompt communication, affordable pricing, and I have made new and good friendships that I didn’t expect.
