2023 - 2024 CLASS REGISTRATION

Irish Dance classes with Manitoba's largest, longest established, and most successful Irish Dance school. Over 75 years of Irish dance excellence spanning three generations!

McConnell Irish Dance provides dancers with an encouraging, positive learning environment where students can achieve individual goals and learn the value of working as a team in safe, family atmosphere.  Our teaching methods are based on Irish tradition and incorporate modern techniques to accelerate learning. ​ Class sizes are limited for individual focus on students and do not exceed an 8 -1 student to teacher ratio. Dancers receive one on one time with certified instructors and are encouraged to seek their personal best through training, hard work, with support from their instructors and classmates.

 

RECREATIONAL, COMPETITIVE, AND PERFORMANCE IRISH DANCE

Whether you are looking for a weekly Recreational class for fun and exercise or an intensive Competitive Irish dance program designed for World Championship levels, McConnell Irish dance has the class for you.  We offer all students the unique opportunity for local and international performances and competitions.

t's never too late to start Irish dance! We offer Beginner classes for all ages including pre-school, teen, and adult. No previous dance experience is necessary.

 

YEARLY, FULL SEASON, OR SESSION BASED CLASSES

We offer flexible enrolment with Yearly (12 Month) Full Season (9 Month) or Term (2 - 3 Month) sessions to suit all needs.

FREE TRIAL CLASS

Not sure if your dancer will enjoy Irish dance classes?  You can sign up for a Free Trial Class prior to committing to full enrolment Full Season Classes. Simply proceed with the regular registration process and instead of signing up for the regular enrolment, select Trial Class.  No registration or lesson fees are processed until your Free Trial Class is complete and you have confirmed your wish to proceed with seasonal enrolment.

TUITION PAYMENTS AND FEES

 

REGISTRATION FEE

One time yearly, non-refundable registration fee is processed at the time of enrolment confirmation.  Registration fees are only applied once per year and extend through Yearly, Full Season, or Session based programs.

Sept 2023 - Aug 2024

  • $35 - 1 Student   
  • $55 - Family - 2 Students
  • $75 - Family - 3+ Students

 

PAYMENT METHODS

Tuition payments are made through our Student Portal (Jackrabbit) and processed automatically through a secure on-line payment processing system (SaveSafe).  Families are required to maintain a valid credit card or up to date banking information for payment processing.

Accepted methods of payment include Bank Draft, Visa, MasterCard.  Please contact us for information on cash or e-transfer payments.

Pupils are required to maintain a valid credit card or bank account information on file.  If your credit card expires, you are responsible to update your payment information in the Student Portal.  To change or update your payment method, notification must be received in writing (email) 7 days in advance of payment processing.

 

YEARLY - FULL SEASON CLASS PAYMENTS

Yearly and Full Season class fees are based on an average of 4 classes per month, including statutory holidays. 

  • FULL TERM PAYMENTS: Payment for Full Season lesson fees receive a 5% discount in addition to Full Term, Multi-Class, and Family discounts. Full Term payments are processed at the time of registration and are non-refundable.
  • 10 or 12 TERM PAYMENTS:  Tuition fees are divided into 10 or 12 payments.  Pre-authorised monthly term payments are scheduled for the 1st of each month for Yearly (12 Month Sept - Aug) or Full Season (Sept - June). Students receive Full Term, Multi-Class, and Family discounts.  Pre-authorised Monthly Term Payment fees are non-refundable.

 

SESSION BASED CLASS PAYMENTS

Session based classes payments are processed at the time of registration confirmation and session fees are non-refundable.  To receive Term, Multi-Class, Family Discounts, and 5% FulL Season Payment Discount, students must enrol in Yearly or Full Season Classes.

 

LESSON FEES 

YEARLY &  FULL SEASON CLASS RATES

  • FAMILY DISCOUNTS: To assist families, we offer a family discount for students within the same household.  The 2nd enrolment receives 10% off tuition, 3rd enrolment 20% off tuition, 4th or more enrolment 50% off tuition.  Fees are applied to student with the lowest monthly rate.​
  • MULTI CLASS DISCOUNTS: To assist dancers who enrol in multiple classes, we offer a reduce hourly rate.  Multi Class discounts are only offered for students enrolled in Full Season Classes

SESSION BASED CLASS RATES

Session based classes class fees are determined by the length of class and the number of lessons in each term.   Please see Session Based Class enrolment for individual class fees.  To receive Term, Multi-Class, and Family discounts, students must enrol in Yearly or Full Season Classes.

 

DROP IN CLASS RATES

Drop in class rates are offered for students who do not wish to enrol in the full session. Family and multi-class discounts are not available for Drop-In classes.

TERMS OF ENROLMENT

LATE REGISTRATION

We offer Yearly, Full Season, and Session Based terms.  Enrolment is based on our Full Season, Winter Session, Spring Session, and Summer Session however registrations are accepted at anytime during the session.

EARLY WITHDRAWAL
Dancers are expected to attend classes for the full term they have registered, however we understand there may be extenuating circumstances where dancers withdrawal from classes prior to the end of the season.  

​YEARLY AND FULL SEASON WITHDRAWAL

NEW STUDENTS 

  • New students may withdrawal without a withdrawal fee before Oct 1st. Notification of withdrawal must be received in writing (email) before October 1st.
  • After the first month of classes a $65 withdrawal fee will be applied.  Please note, payments for classes attended will be adjusted to the drop-in rate as multi-class and family discounts are only available for Full Season enrolment.

EXISTING STUDENTS

  • Refunds are not offered for returning students who enrol in Full Season classes, unless there are medical reasons.  Students must provide a letter from a doctor or physician for early withdrawal due to medical issues. Payments for classes attended will be adjusted to the drop-in rate as multi-class and family discounts are only available for Full Season enrolment.

SESSION BASED CLASS WITHDRAWAL

Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer (8 - 15 Week Sessions)

Refunds are not offered for session based class enrolment unless medical reasons apply. Students must provide a letter from a doctor or physician for early withdrawal due to medical reasons. A $65 withdrawal fee will be applied for early withdrawal due to medical reasons and  payments for classes attended will be adjusted to the drop-in rate as multi-class and family discounts are only available for full session enrolment.

REFUNDS

Refunds are not offered on lessons fees for any reason.  Once processed, all lesson fees are non-refundable.  In order to change a payment method, notification must be received in writing 7 days in advance of processing.
